Finally Homecoming Week is OVER! It has been exhausting. I left my home with hubby and child at 6p. I walked into my home without my hubby or child (who got to come home after the game) at 12:50pm. I sponsor the LA Student Council. We sponsor the Homecoming Dance. This year we paid for the dj, and donated all door entries to the Junior Class to help with prom.
I am very disappointed in the Senior Class. They have always been my favorites, but I honestly think they dropped the ball here. I am very thankful for the few that did come. They will always be tops in my book. It's really not that big a deal, but I can't understand why they would not want to support the school for a whole 1 1/2 hours. So what if it is a lame dance for the 9th-11th grades. Particularly, the 9th and 10th. I mean come on, you can't cut a little time out of the schedule? Last year EVERY senior came. EVERY single one. THEN they went to the after party. AND they didn't even complain. But maybe kids really don't care. There will not be a dance next year unless someone else takes up the cross. I am out of it.
Other than that, it was an awesome game. LA finally won one! And quite convincingly too.
This week is a short week for me. Wednesday we have parent/teacher conferences and I am off to the deer woods on Thursday and Friday. I need a break. I am close to a come apart. That's just what teaching does to you sometimes. Later....
