The Senate

I came home yesterday afternoon and stayed glued to CSPAN. I watched as the Senate debated the "bailout bill", and the subsequent vote. I found it fascinating. I am trying to get a grip on just what the proposal determines. It is being sold as assistance for the middle class because if it is not passed (according to Congress) we are the ones that will suffer. Big freaking surprise there! Of course Senators Lincoln and Pryor both voted Yea. I just wonder how many Arkansans voiced their wishes for them to vote Nay? Now it goes to the House. I will stay tuned FOR SURE.
Yesterday was picture day at Lee. It went much smoother this year. I had to get my pic made yet again. I always flashback to my school years sitting in that chair with the big light and the weird guy taking the pic. The only good thing now is that there is no weird guy. LOL I was always the shortest in my class (no comment) so I got to hold the beloved class board identifier. You know the one that said whose class you were in and what grade. My classmates were so jealous! And tall! LOL
Blakely is going to Parker Homestead today on a field trip. She is riding with Vivi and Barrett. I am not going. It is almost impossible to get a sub for me. NOBODY wants to help the teacher who has Seniors THREE times/day! Except Jake who no longer lives here! It's okay though. I really hate missing a day at school. I'm weird.
Tonight we get to go to the Vo-Tech for family night. Tomorrow is the big BBQ. Every year on the night before the family of staff get to eat a LOT of goodies outside by the bbq pit. I am always all over the bbq'd bologna! I can hardly wait! So sad, I know.
Have a good Thursday!
