We actually got invited to a Super Bowl party! And we actually WENT! WOW Here's the thing...I don't really diet. I probably should but I just don't. Mentally it's impossible for me to do. I have several weaknesses in the food arena but snack food is numero uno! So I literally was in heaven Sunday afternoon! Lou made the best snack food. Nobody could get to the buffet without pushing me out of the way! LOL Here's the rundown (and yes I did eat all of this plus some--people were commenting about me!): cocktail smokies-my absolute fave, cheese dip with meat, cheeseball, dessert cheeseball-tasted like chocolate chip cookie dough, cajun chicken jambalya, cheese, olives, cookies, and beer. I was so bloated i fell asleep in the recliner. Pa-the-tic! But totally worth it!
I also was introduced to Guitar Hero! OMGoodness!!! I LOVE that game! Am asking for it for my birthday. I totally rocked out on Wings Band on the Run! Totally sucked on BonJovi's Livin' on a Prayer. Shows my age, I know. LOL
Was really bummed that they took the snow chances out of the forecast. Seriously, I am in need of another snow day. Or just a day off for that matter. I am fixing to take a couple of days off. Think I will go hunting. Or just hang out. Either way..I need a day.
I am so proud of Blakely! She made the LA Spelling Bee for the fourth grade along with her buddies: Benton, Maggie, Marlee, Jules, and Grant. I am really nervous for her today because she really loves to spell. I told her it doesn't matter is she messes up or not. She's a winner in my eyes already! She gets pretty nervous in front of people--who doesn't???? I told her to just do her best. That's all anyone can do.
Well, I am headed to work. Yippee! Yippee! I probably need to follow my own advice: Just do my best. Nah, still not feelin' it. Later.....
UPDATE: The spelling bee contestants had to draw to see what order they would go in.. of course mine drew #1. The word was hue or hew (still unsure) and she spelled it h-u-g-h which is the correct spelling of a man's name! LOL She was upset but kept her cool and came and sat with me in the stands. I was so proud of her! Then the next 3 right after her didn't spell their first word right either. For the record....I think that the 4th grade should go last not first. AND their words should not be harder than the 6-7-or 8th grade words. That being said....I am still VERY proud of her! Way to go Blakely!
